Helena Trent was a mother, a friend, a teacher, and a successful businesswoman. She was diagnosed with stage four cancer in September of 2018. She had never smoked a day in her life. After two years of battling cancer, she died on the 14th of July in 2020. Helena Trent was never known to give up and never showed a lack of gratitude for the world, no matter the cards it dealt her.
As her son, I felt it was my duty to carry on her memory, never give up, and not settle for preventable deaths. As a result, I pledged to dedicate myself to raising awareness of radon’s dangers, making it possible for people to test easily and accurately.
